EBC1 – Rare Edwards Black Nephrite Jade with Quartz Crystals
The only place in the world where nephrite jade occurs with quartz crystals is in the Granite Mountain area of Central Wyoming. The majority of this rare occurrence is found in light to dark olive green nephrite veins. The only known occurrence of crystals with black nephrite was at the now filled in Edwards Jade mine in the vicinity of Pathfinder Reservoir. These slabs and chunks were cut from a large 15 pound specimen I found while prospecting the area around them old mine in 2018. All are prices at $275/lb
