Polished Apple green nephrite jade surface piece – Wyoming
4.21 oz 119.50g 3.5″ x 1 7/8″ x 3/4″
Here’s a chance to own some unique Wyoming jade history from one of the first prospectors of the jade rush.
Premium, historic Wyoming apple green nephrite jade surface find from the Rhoads jade shop in Lander, Wyoming. This piece was found 60-80 years ago likely before the heyday of the Wyoming jade rush. I have ground down and polished one surface face of this rinded surface find from year ago.
Keep it as a specimen or make pendants, earrings, beads, inlay and more are all possible with this jade from a bygone era. This piece was likely found on their claims in and around the Cottonwood Creek area of Crooks Mountain, near Jeffrey City Wyoming.
If you buy these and make jewelry from them make sure to market with the story of their origin as these are a famous part of Wyoming jade history and Bert Rhoads one of the early jade hunter pioneers. Use quarter in each photo for size reference.
