Classic Wyoming snowflake jade in an appealing green. The end of one side has been polished on a 6″ Genie and it took a nice polish.
Wyoming snowflake jades characteristically contain nephrite, coarse-grained tremolite, quartz, epidote or zoisite, and albite” (Madson, 1983)
Black lines mark cracks or issue areas. Lots of good material once you work around the cracks.
Notes on this nephrite:
• From the same block as the 9.7 pound piece
• Cracks have been highted in black
• Photos were taken in a professional light box for maximum color accuracy.
• NO water or oil has been used in any of these photos.
